Town administration has recommended a 1.49 per cent increase in property taxes in the initial draft of the 2014 budget presented to the new council, Oct. 28.

Administration proposes a $39.9 million operating budget, an overall increase or $900,000 or 5.5 per cent from last year.  Of that, $20.9 million is from offsetting revenues and $19 million would be collected in property taxes.
