Airport announces record number of passengers

The Fort McMurray Airport is celebrating a record-breaking year, after 957,000 people traveled through YMM in 2012, with each month breaking all-time highs at the airport, and driving passenger numbers 25% higher than in 2011.

“2012 was very busy and exciting for YMM. The announcement of daily non-stop service to Denver, the first scheduled service to the United States from Fort McMurray, capped off an incredibly successful year,” said Scott Clements, president and CEO of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority in a news release.
