Appeals board rejects liquor store across from Norwood park

Norwood residents are celebrating this afternoon after a city appeals board rejected a plan that would see a liquor store open up across the street from a park.

The owners of a convenience store located kitty corner to the park and playground at the intersection of 95th Street and 114th Avenue were originally granted a permit to sell alcohol last month — a decision which upset many Norwood residents.
