The median home owner will pay $150 more a year for taxes and commercial property owners $328 more in 2013 than they did in 2012.

On May 5, council unanimously agreed to increase the tax rate bylaw, which will see an overall 6.76 per cent increase in taxes for the average single-family homeowner, an 8.22 per cent increase for industrial properties and 9.85 per cent for commercial space.
