Airdrie City council was asked to approve a two per cent increase to FortisAlberta’s franchisee fee for 2015 on Sept. 15 that would add $1.14 to the average utility bill each month. The request did not  receive third reading after Deputy Mayor Allan Hunter voted against the increase.
