Sitting by his shop window, Darren Gibson watches the rain pour down on the mostly deserted street outside. “I look at it as an opportunity,” says Gibson, who three months earlier opened his new enterprise, Selective Seconds and Open House Trading Company, in downtown High River. “I feel that this is the safest place to do business in Canada right now — and I know a lot of people share my optimism.”
