Mapping out Canada’s declining number of pipeline proposals

Over the course of 2014, U.S. companies will have built 7,531 kilometers of new pipeline, whereas the cumulative length of pipeline constructed worldwide, including in the U.S., over the same time period will be 15,026 kilometers. Those figures represent a significant 39 per cent decrease in pipeline construction from the previous year and continue a six-year downward trend in new builds, according to data from the Oil and Gas Journal.
