The municipality is building temporary flood berms in downtown and Waterways to prepare for river breakup in 2021. These temporary measures include a combination of sandbags and clay berms, and work is scheduled to be finished by Dec. 31. Temporary berms have already been built alongside Taiga Nova Industrial Park.
