RMWB’s 2021 census shows more people settling as population shrinks, becomes increasingly multicultural

The 2021 municipal census found the population of the Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo is 106,059 people, a five per cent decrease from the 2018 census. The shrinking population continues a trend that was first recorded in the 2015 census after more than 15 years of continuous growth.
