Bowness Road to get bicycle lanes if Calgary plan goes ahead
Two kilometres of Bowness Road would see one lane of motor-vehicle traffic eliminated and two bicycle lanes added under a concept plan that, if approved, could happen later this year.

Bicycle/pedestrian path to be developed along Hwy 8
The development of a pathway adjacent to Highway 8 is on to the next phase in its development, said Jeff Quigley, municipal lands specialist for Rocky View County.
But they have to wait until the county announces the 2013 budget in April before proceeding further, he added.
“We’re taking baby steps,” said Quigley. “We’re making progress, but the development involves a lot of stakeholders. Construction is not something we’re looking at right now.”

Resistance mounting to bike park at Liberton
Upset that they weren’t consulted about a mountain bike skills park and what its construction might do to Liberton Park, a group of residents have organized a town hall to make sure their voices are heard.
The town hall will give people living close to Liberton Park the chance to express their concerns, an opportunity many felt they did not receive.
