Cambrian reaches out to public

Local residents, land developers and county representatives met on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and Wednesday, Dec. 12 for a two-part planning session for the proposed land development project Cambrian Crossing.

Hosted by Stantec Consulting and the county’s land use and policy planning branch, the information and planning workshop aimed at addressing resident’s concerns and suggestions for the project.

Changes planned for Cambrian

Strathcona County council received an update on the Cambrian Crossing development at its Tuesday, Nov. 6 meeting that detailed the project’s current status and a potential zone change.

In presenting her status update to council, Stacey Fedechko, director of Strathcona County’s Planning and Development Services, noted Stantec Consulting had been hired earlier this year to conduct an in-depth engineering design brief for the entire North of Yellowhead Area, which incorporates Cambrian Crossing. A traffic impact assessment for the area is also being undertaken by the county and is currently under review, she noted.
