EDMONTON – Downtown Edmonton will see a different red and white flag billowing above the city next year.
Deputy premier Thomas Lukaszuk said he was “thrilled” to hear the recent announcement that the Polish Consulate General will be relocating its offices from its current home in Vancouver to Edmonton, a change expected to take effect June 30, 2013.

It may not have been his first trip to Southern Alberta, but last Monday’s visit to the County of Lethbridge was a first for Susumu Fukuda, Consul-General of Japan at Calgary.
As a diplomat representing Japan, Fukuda has made several visits to Lethbridge to celebrate such events as the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden’s 45 anniversary since he was appointed as consul-general for the Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary.
