Future of Calgary convention space is with industry partners, says alderman

Calgary continues to miss out on millions from lucrative professional gatherings due to limited convention space, prompting one alderman to look across the pond for innovative answers.

The Telus Convention Centre embarked on ambitious expansion plans to triple its size in 2009, seeking an ideal downtown location for what was at the time a $300 million facility aimed at attracting the largest gatherings in North America.
