Costco opened its St. Albert location at 8 a.m. Thursday morning.
The warehouse is the 86th Costco location in Canada, and the sixth store in the Edmonton region. It offers more than 4,000 products, as well as a gas bar and propane station and a liquor store.

St. Albert’s Costco is expected to open in the third week of October – the fourth week at its latest, said a spokesperson for a local developer.

St. Albert-based Landrex Developers has confirmed that Costco is moving to St. Albert as part of a major development that will transform the north end of the city.
In addition to the Costco outlet, which is expected to open this fall, plans for the area call for a large commercial development south of Costco and residential buildings to the east.

EDMONTON – Costco Wholesale will be opening its newest Edmonton store on Oct. 19, the discount warehouse retailer announced Friday.
The West Edmonton Costco is located at 7259 Winterburn Rd. NW, south of Whitemud Drive and east of the River Cree Resort and Casino.
