CALGARY — The sale of Western Canada’s biggest wind farm project has more to do with California public policy than Alberta’s, says its developer.
Greengate Power Corp. announced Monday it had sold its “construction-ready” 300-megawatt Blackspring Ridge project for an undisclosed price to Calgary-based Enbridge Inc. and a subsidiary of Paris-based EDF Energies Nouvelles.

EDMONTON – Enbridge says it has received the support of oil shippers for a $1.8-billion pipeline project linking Edmonton and Hardisty, the hub for Alberta’s oil exports.
The project will include a 36-inch, 179-kilometre pipeline along with new tankage and terminal facilities in both Edmonton and Hardisty.

CALGARY— Enbridge doesn’t see a rival pipeline company’s plan to ship western crude east as a threat to its own ambitions, new CEO Al Monaco said Wednesday as the firm posted improved quarterly results.
TransCanada Corp. (TSX: TRP), another major Calgary-based pipeline operator, said last week its plan to convert part of its natural gas main line to crude service appears to be economically and technically feasible, and that its customers seem to be keen on the idea.
