Investor makes $1-million pitch to save Calgary film studio project, calls on province to chip in

For months, Alberta’s governing Tories have stuck to the script when asked whether the province would finally kick in $13.2 million for a proposed film studio in Calgary: get more private investment, then we’ll talk.

Now, William F. White International, the Alberta Creative Hub’s anchor tenant that threatened to pull out of the project if the province didn’t commit funding by March 31, has called the province’s bluff, so to speak.
