Marijuana grow ops found during Stoney Nakoda raid

Six individuals are facing drug-related charges after RCMP raided five residences and located three marijuana grow operations on Stoney Nakoda First Nation, following a month-long investigation in April.

A total of 431 grams of marijuana and 184 marijuana plants — worth an estimated value of $392,865 — were seized by a project team of RCMP officers from the Cochrane detachment during the raid.

Man charged in $1.5-million marijuana bust in N.E. Calgary

A Calgary man was charged after police dismantled a grow operation and seized marijuana plants worth about $1.5 million from a northeast home.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home on Whitehorn Road N.E. on Wednesday and discovered 1,194 marijuana plants, 528 grams of dried marijuana, growing equipment and $2,250 in cash.
