Local residents had their first opportunity, at a formal open house at the Baytex Energy Centre last Wednesday (March 8), to share their input and feedback about a concept plan for a multi-use facility expansion of the arena.
The concept plan includes renovations to the existing Baytex arena, a new second arena and a new fieldhouse that would be constructed in four stages, with an estimated price tag of $33,390,050

The Town of Peace River is entering into the community consultation process meant to take the public’s temperature on the estimated $33-million phased complex plan for a multiplex.
The concept plan, which would include a second ice surface, a field house and a connection to the existing pool, is divided into four phases that carry no timeline, the first to the tune of $11.3 million.
