The County of Grande Prairie says there is not a plan to raise taxes to build the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, despite claims made in a recent newspaper advertisement purchased by a group of concerned county ratepayers.

Construction of the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum is set to break ground on April 5, 2013, and developers hope its doors will be open to the public for the first time less than 15 months later, on June 28, 2014.
Though the project still needs $7 million of its projected $30 million cost, Brian Brake executive director of the Pipestone Creek Dinosaur Initiative, said there are many options are out there to secure the cash.
