BNI going for rookie chapter

The local Business Networking International (BNI) group has gone above and beyond its expectations, and is now vying for the Rookie of the Year designation.

Having kicked off at the beginning of August, the BNI Heartland chapter started with 10 members. Now having grown to 15 charter members, more than $787,000 referral dollars have been tracked.

“We’re working towards what’s called the Rookie of the Year chapter, and we’re on pace for that,” said chapter president Ken Jackson.

City to launch Ask an Airdrie Expert program to connect businesses

Airdrie Economic Development will launch a new program to connect local businesses with professional services.

The Ask an Airdrie Expert program will be introduced Oct. 16 during the inaugural Connect for Success: Small Business Expo, the flagship event of this year’s Small Business Week, which runs Oct. 14 to 20.
