Athletes, coaches heading to Devon
The Town of Devon will host more than 400 athletes, as well as over 150 coaches and support teams during this weekend’s Special Olympics Summer Games.
There are athletes competing in bocce, soccer, rhythmic gymnastics, powerlifting, golf, athletics, and softball, with the athletes competing at both Devon and Leduc venues.

With a few facility facelifts, Calgary could host another Winter Olympics, says one of the top officials of the 1988 Games.
That speaks volumes of the enduring legacy left behind by the 15th Winter Olympiad, says Jerry Joynt, communications boss of the Games now marking their 25th anniversary.
