CALGARY — There’s one thing that most Calgarians will agree on.
How great the city’s parks system is and how everyone simply loves all that green space we enjoy.
Count me in that number.

The west has always been known for its wide-open spaces, and now holding the draft for a new plan, Cochrane is hoping it soon will be as well.
Administration for the Town of Cochrane presented the first draft of the Open Spaces Master Plan (OSMP) to council on Oct. 9, highlighting several findings from the first phase of the public engagement, including several major parks that are proposed in the plan.

Four new plans for parks in Morinville set to be unveiled this week could soon let local kids get up close and personal with life in Heritage Lake.
The Town of Morinville is holding an open house Thursday on the Rotary, Montreux, Lakes and Heritage Lake park regions. The meeting is meant to gather ideas on how these parks should be developed.

The city’s skateboard fans haven’t raised enough to start work on a new facility.
