Although the city and county of Leduc have made room in their budgets to support the Leduc-Nisku Economic Development Authority (LNEDA), two of it’s smaller partners have withdrawn their memberships.
The Town of Devon and the Village of Thorsby have decided to wait until the authority establishes itself as a corporation before continuing with their partnerships.

Through partnerships, planning and a growing economy, Leduc County is anticipating even more urban and commercial growth in 2013.
“The stage is set for quite a lot more development,” commented county mayor John Whaley, during his state of the address during the Leduc Chamber’s luncheon at the Nisku Inn on Friday, Jan. 11.
