Fire hall on Peace River’s west hill moving forward

A new regional fire hall, which is a joint-funded project between the Town of Peace River and the County of Northern Lights, is one step closer to becoming a reality on Peace River’s west hill.

Last Tuesday (July 16), both Peace River Town Council and County of Northern Lights Council awarded the project’s engineering and architectural services to Barr Ryder Architectural and Interior Designers, an Edmonton-based company.

Home industry seeing positive shift

Thanks to Mike Holmes and other TV home show personalities, more informed customers are in the new home and renovation markets, say exhibitors at the Red Deer Home Show.

Of the hundreds of Central Albertans who perused about 300 trade show booths sponsored by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association at Westerner Park this weekend were more potential customers who knew exactly what they wanted.
