City moves forward with 100 Avenue bridge rehab

The aging 100 Avenue bridge will finally get a much-needed rehabilitation in 2013 which will see its lifespan increase by 40 years.

Work on the 53-year-old bridge was supposed to be finished this year, however the company the work was awarded to last year, Ontario-based ConCrete USL, folded just before the city entered into pre-construction talks. The work was already more than $500,000 over budget at the time, coming in a just over $2 million.
