On the books for years, Sturgeon County recently settled on a specific route for the realignment of 127 Street.
The future road, which currently dead-ends north of Edmonton, is supposed to hook into the Anthony Henday and connect to Highway 2 north of St. Albert.

Cole Way has been selected as the name for the first road going into the new Crestview subdivision.
Councillors agreed with the request from Lamont Land Inc. to use Cole Way as the name, during their meeting May 13.

EDMONTON – The city is moving ahead this year to promote “Church Street” as a special downtown character area.
The district along 96th Street from 106th Avenue to 111th Avenue is home to 11 churches and other religious buildings, with another two less than a block away, according to a city report.

AIRDRIE – Airdrie commuters who have been patiently waiting for 24th Street to reopen may not have to wait much longer.
The City of Airdrie started construction on 24th Street (located on the west side of Airdrie) over the summer, and according to Bob Neale, team leader of engineering services with the City of Airdrie, the goal is to have the street reopened before the end of the year.
