EDMONTON – When a trio of flight attendants arrived at City Hall on Wednesday carrying luggage and a “Big Apple,” Edmontonians learned that the New York area was now just four and half hours away.

United Airlines will begin flying year-round, non-stop service six times a week in both directions on May 1 from its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport, which is just 30 kilometres from Manhattan.
