COCHRANE — Inside the leased storefront on the town’s main drag, a huge aerial photo of Cochrane is covered in handwritten sticky notes: “No malls,” “atv park,” “skate park,” “NHL arena,” “Olive Garden” and, in unmistakable kid lettering, “logo land.”

In a quest to reimagine downtown Cochrane, town planners have set up shop here, soliciting public input for a new and improved core.
