What’s Happening: Edmonton-area average home prices, sales figures dipped in August

The end of summer brought some softness to Edmonton’s housing market. Average prices for residential properties in the Edmonton Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) were down 2.66 per cent in August compared to July, although they were up 0.78 per cent relative to August 2016. A total of 1,542 units were reported sold during August — a month-over-month decrease of 4.93 per cent and year-over-year dip of 2.03 per cent.
