Prices paid by Edmonton consumers were unchanged between May and June of 2014 as a steep decline in the costs for electricity and natural gas balanced continuing increases in rents. June’s results pulled the inflation rate, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), in Edmonton down from an annual rate of 1.9% in May 2014 to 1.6% in June 2014.
