Alberta Budget 2025: Province sets aside $106 million in Edmonton deal with city, OEG to demolish Coliseum, build event park and Downtown development

Alberta’s answer to Edmonton’s calls for equal arena funding as Calgary could be a $106-million agreement with the municipality and the Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) over three years that would demolish the former Northlands Coliseum, add public event space next to Rogers Place, and fund a private development to renew the Downtown core.
