2023 saw a continued rise in living costs and inflation across Canada, with households as well as businesses struggling to adjust to the higher costs. Many businesses across Alberta, including some in Airdrie, which were attempting to recoup losses after the COVID-19 pandemic, were no longer able to keep up.
