Council rejects $1 land sale request at Abram’s Land, asks administration to work with requestors

Council unanimously rejected Sultan Management Group’s (SMG) request to buy 10 acres of land at Abram’s Land (also commonly referred to as Abraham’s Land, Abraham’s Landing and Abram’s Landing) for $1 to build a $40-million, four-story medical centre. Administration estimates the land’s value is more than $2.9 million.
