Just like Edmonton, Calgary lost the use of its vote-counting machines for Monday’s civic election when the province banned the devices in May. Yet somehow Calgary managed to get all its votes counted on election night. (Actually, Calgary didn’t finish its count until 4:20 a.m., but you get my point.)
