Bangkok, Mumbai and Mexico City have emerged as the world’s least affordable cities for renters, with residents spending over two-thirds of their income on housing, according to a recent report by German asset manager DWS. The study reveals that while cities like New York and London are often considered the most expensive, the picture changes dramatically when focusing solely on rental costs relative to local incomes.
