Council has approved a makeover for part of the waterfront area between Hardin Street and Borealis Park at an estimated cost of $4 million. The area is designated Reach 3 by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, and is mostly a large patch of dirt used as overflow parking during large events at Snye Point Park.
