Unemployment drops locally and provincially, national levels steady as more jobs added

Unemplyoment in the census region covering Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo dropped by to 5.7 per cent from 6.2 per cent last month, according to data from Statistics Canada released Friday. The local unemployment rate is only slightly above Alberta’s rate, which dropped to 5.2 per cent from 5.5 per cent.
