Calgary region housing starts down slightly from last year

CALGARY — Calgary region housing starts dipped slightly in January compared with a year ago, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp.

The agency said Friday that total starts in the Calgary census metropolitan area of 719 units for the month were down from 786 in January 2012.
