EDMONTON – The president of the Ermineskin Community League said Monday he plans to run for mayor to fight the planned redevelopment of surplus school sites.

The city is looking at selling land set aside decades ago for new schools that now aren’t needed and allowing such projects as multi-family developments, houses with secondary suites and seniors’ facilities.
