Okotoks homeowners will get a small break on their tax bills next year, but it will come at the expense of local businesses.

Okotoks town council approved a 3.7 per cent increase on the municipal share of property taxes as part of its 2013 operating budget after a marathon session on Monday evening. The increase amounts to an additional $67 on the typical home in Okotoks, or $5.58 per month.
