Since its beginnings, Cochrane’s largest retail development has persisted under a shroud of mystery as to which name brand stores will ultimately settle in the community’s prime downtown location.

With Sobey’s grocery store thus far being the only retailer to officially announce its imminent presence on the Quarry site, several others have yet to divulge their identity.

“Our policy here is that we don’t let the cat out of the bag, per say, because we leave that up to the retailers,” said Nathan Boskers, an engineer with Springwood Developments, which is developing the land. “They’re very thoughtful on when they announce when they’re coming.”
