EDMONTON – Encana opened its Cavalier liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility near Strathmore just east of Calgary on Tuesday, marking a milestone in the firm’s efforts to make the less expensive fuel an alternative to diesel for long-haul trucks in Canada.
