Flooding damage mainly confined to riverbank

More than a week after floodwaters receded from the Devon river valley, it seems that damage has been minimal and limited to portions of the riverbank

The flooding, which prompted town council to declare a local state of emergency, covered areas in the Devon Lions Campground including the ball diamond, the playground, and most of the tenting area. Besides the riverbank and some tent sites however, there seems to be no lasting damage to the campground.
What damage there is though is still being taken seriously, with temporary fencing having been erected along the riverfront and 12 of the 14 tenting sites remaining off limits.
