Thanks to a strong industrial base, Strathcona County has experienced a 9.7 per cent bump in job creation in 2012 compared to the previous year.
“Last year, in Strathcona County there were 48,270 jobs,” Tourism and Economic Development director Gerry Gabinet reported to county council on Tuesday, March 26. “That compares to the previous year of about 43,558. So, that is 4,700 new jobs created in Strathcona County and a 9.7 per cent increase.
