When Calgary’s mayor booted the Calgary Home Builders’ Association-Calgary Region (CHBA) off two City of Calgary committees, several aldermen questioned whether he had the right to do it.

Those questions were muted at a closed door council meeting, from which emerged a subdued council, with one alderman suggesting the mayor may have acted too quickly.
