Opinion: Golf courses aren’t a fair way to use Edmonton’s river valley

As Edmonton’s population continues to rise, the city council needs to optimize public land uses for a growing and diverse urban society. With 1,281 hectares of Edmonton’s land allocated to golf courses, we need to ask ourselves: Should the city preserve the 364 hectares of municipally owned courses, or reimagine these spaces to more effectively meet the needs of current and future Edmontonians?
