Police want provincial legislation amended to deal with problem property owners

Provincial policing officials want to see legislation amended to address repeat offenders who own problem properties in residential communities.

This week, two units in a Calgary fourplex were ordered shut down for 90 days, the maximum under provincial rules, after the landlord failed to address ongoing complaints for chronic drug and prostitution-related activity.
