Quarterly year-on-year residential rental growth continues to accelerate, reaching its higher level since the first quarter of 2017, according to PayProp’s most recent Rental Index which shows that rental growth reached 4.4% in both April and May 2023, followed by 4.2% in June 2023. The average national rent figure now stands at R8 375.
