Tourism marketing efforts of Calgary Stampede’s Centennial pay big dividends

CALGARY — A new report by the Canadian Tourism Commission says marketing efforts for the Calgary Stampede Centennial in 2012 paid off in big dividends for the tourism industry.

The commission said a one-time funding allocation of $5 million to the CTC by the federal government was aimed at marketing the Centennial event in key international tourism markets.
