The Town of High River is chasing down a new autumn deadline for its proposed flood mitigation project to remove gravel and sand deposits from the Highwood River.

Town council members recently met with representatives from Environment and Sustainable Resources Development (ESRD) in Calgary looking for possible avenues to expedite the approval process for the project.
